$5706 of 8 parts sold here
Bedroom gaming desk at dusk: a white IKEA desk with a drawer unit, an ASUS TUF monitor, a black LDLC tower with RGB fans, a Razer keyboard with purple backlight and a wrist rest, a Razer mouse on a small pad, an IKEA architect lamp clamped on the left, a black Razer headset hanging on a desk hook, a light gray Razer chair, a wooden shelf with books, and a bed and a window on the right

First Light is a first real gaming desk, set up in a bedroom next to the window. A 27-inch 1440p ASUS TUF monitor and an LDLC tower with an RTX 5060 do the gaming, a white IKEA desk with five drawers holds school or work papers, and the rest is affordable Razer gear and a clamp lamp.

The budget goes where you feel it: the graphics card and the screen. The keyboard, mouse and headset are cheap but sound choices, the TERTIAL lamp is there for homework and reading, and the light gray Razer Iskur V2 X is a real chair rather than a kitchen one.

The monitor and the tower are sold in France. In the US, the MSI Codex R2 is the entry tower we list, and the white ASUS ROG Strix XG27ACG-W is the closest 1440p screen there, and it matches the white desk. The first upgrades are a mechanical keyboard, then a wireless headset. Keep in mind that the IKEA desk is not made for a monitor arm.
