About the BenQ ScreenBar Monitor Light Bar
The ScreenBar sits on top of the monitor and aims its light down at the keyboard and papers, not at the screen, so you get an evenly lit desk without reflections. It gives 930 lux at the center from 45 cm, with a color rendering index of 95 or more, 15 brightness levels and 8 color temperatures from a warm 2700 K to a cool 6500 K. An ambient light sensor can top up the room light to about 500 lux on its own.
It runs from a USB port (5 V, 5 W max), so there is no extra power brick, and the weighted clip fits flat or curved monitors from 1 to 3 cm thick. It is a work light only: no color effects, no app. The newer Halo 2 adds a wireless controller and a backlight, for about twice the price.
