Privacy

The short version

• You do not need an account to use Setuplify.
• We measure the audience ourselves, without advertising or IP addresses, and you can turn it off below.
• Pages load a tag from our affiliate network, Impact, that tracks links to its partner brands (see below).
• We set cookies to remember your market and your language, and two first-party audience cookies. No advertising cookies.
• If you join the newsletter, we keep your email address to send it, and delete it when you ask.

Audience statistics

We measure how the site is used so we can improve it, with our own tool: the data stays on our server and is never shared or used for advertising.

For each visit we record the pages you view (address, title, previous page, time spent and how far you scroll), where you came from (the referring site, or the utm_ campaign parameters of the link), your browser's time zone (to know the country), language, screen size, browser and operating system, and a few actions: searches on the site, opening a component in a setup, using the builders, changing market or language, joining the newsletter, clicking a link to another site, landing on a page that does not exist, or a page error.

Your IP address is never stored. Visits from the same browser are linked by a random identifier (cookie below), which is not tied to your name or email.

When you click a "Check price" button, our server logs the click before sending you to the merchant: the offer, the product, the market, the language, the page path (without query string), the time and the visit it belongs to.

If an external analytics provider is enabled, it receives only anonymous events and is configured without advertising features.

Cookies and local storage

• setuplify_market remembers the market you chose, so prices show in the right currency. It lasts one year.
• setuplify_locale remembers the language you chose, so the home page opens in it. It lasts one year.
• setuplify_vid is a random identifier that links your visits for the audience statistics. It lasts 13 months and is not extended when you come back.
• setuplify_sid groups the pages of one visit. It expires after 30 minutes without activity.
• setuplify_no_stats is set only if you turn the audience statistics off, to remember that choice.
• In your browser's local storage, we keep a note when you dismiss the language suggestion, so we do not show it again.

These are used only to remember your choices and to measure the audience of this site. We do not use advertising cookies.

Affiliate network tag (Impact)

Every page loads a small script from Impact (impact.com), the affiliate network several merchants use to pay us. It turns links to those merchants into Impact tracking links and tells Impact a page with such links was viewed, so a later purchase can be credited to Setuplify. Impact receives your IP address and browser details, as any site you load content from does, and may set its own cookies. Impact's own privacy policy applies to that data.

Newsletter

If you subscribe, we store your email address, your language, your market, where on the site you signed up and the date. We use them only to send the newsletter in the right language with prices for your market. To limit abuse, your IP address is used in memory for a few minutes when you submit the form, and is not stored.

You can unsubscribe from any newsletter email. To have your address deleted completely, write to privacy@setuplify.com.

When you leave Setuplify

When you follow a link to a merchant, you are on their site and their privacy policy applies. Merchants and affiliate networks usually set their own cookies to attribute the sale.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it or ask us to delete it. Write to privacy@setuplify.com and we will answer within one month.
