Affiliate disclosure

Some links on Setuplify are affiliate links. If you buy through one, the merchant may pay us a commission. Here is how that works and what it does not change.

How it works

When you click a "Check price" button, you go through a short Setuplify link that records the click (which product, which market, which page) and then sends you to the merchant. If you buy, the merchant or its affiliate network may pay us a share of the sale.

  • It costs you nothing extra. The price you pay is the merchant's price. The commission comes out of their margin, not your basket.
  • It funds the site. Commissions pay for the time spent building setups, writing guides and keeping the catalogue up to date.
  • Every "Check price" button is an affiliate link, and screen readers announce it as one.
  • These links carry the rel="sponsored" attribute so search engines know they are commercial.
  • Pages with affiliate links show a short notice near the top that links back to this page.
  • Plain links to product pages, guides and setups inside Setuplify are not affiliate links.

Amazon

Setuplify is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program (amazon.com) and the Amazon EU Associates Programme (amazon.fr), affiliate programs that let sites earn fees by linking to Amazon. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

What commissions never change

  • Our picks. Products are chosen and scored on how well they do their job and what they cost. A product with no affiliate program can be, and often is, our pick.
  • Our scores. Commission rates are not part of the editorial score or the value score.
  • The builders. The Setup Builder and the Upgrade Builder rank products with fixed rules on specs, fit and price. Commission rates are not an input.

How prices are checked

  • We show the best offer for each product in your market: in stock first, then the lowest price.
  • Each offer keeps the date it was last checked. Prices and stock change fast, so the price on the merchant's site at checkout is the one that counts.
  • If a product is not sold in your market, we say so instead of showing a price from another country.

Questions

If something on a page looks like it was influenced by a commission, we want to know. Write to us at privacy@setuplify.com and we will look into it.
