About the Insta360 Link 2

The Link 2 is a webcam that moves. The camera sits on a small two-axis gimbal that pans and tilts to keep you in frame when you stand up, walk to a whiteboard or lean back, and gestures let you start tracking or zoom without touching the computer. The 1/2 inch sensor films in 4K at 30 fps or 1080p at 60 fps, with HDR in every mode, an f/1.8 lens and phase detection autofocus from 10 cm, which gives a cleaner image in a dim room than most webcams.

Smart Whiteboard straightens and enhances a board, DeskView points the camera down at your desk, and portrait mode suits vertical streams. The built-in mics use AI noise cancelling. When you stop using it, the camera flips down after 10 seconds for privacy. It weighs 101.5 g without its magnetic mount and connects over USB-C (USB 2.0); the Link Controller app runs on Windows and macOS.

Seen in these setups

Where it sits in real desks, and why it earned its place there.

Bright home office in afternoon light: a white Dell 32-inch monitor on a black Ergotron arm above a FlexiSpot standing desk with a bamboo top, a BenQ ScreenBar Pro and an Insta360 Link 2 webcam on top of the screen, wood-sided Edifier speakers on each side, a graphite Logitech keyboard and mouse on a gray felt mat, a black Sihoo mesh chair in front and a window with sheer curtains on the left

Quiet Hours

Why it is here

A 4K sensor on a two-axis gimbal with AI tracking: it keeps you framed when you stand up at the desk during a call. Its noise-cancelling mics are enough for meetings without a separate microphone.
