About the Keychron Q1 Max

The Q1 Max is a full metal 75% board with a gasket-mounted PC plate, a volume knob and hot-swappable switches, so you can try other switches later without soldering. It ships with Gateron Jupiter Red (linear), Brown or Banana switches and double-shot PBT keycaps, with Mac and Windows keycaps in the box.

It connects over 2.4 GHz, Bluetooth to up to three devices, or a cable, and the 4000 mAh battery is rated for up to 180 hours. QMK firmware means every key and macro can be remapped from Keychron's web app. At 1724 g it is heavy and stays put, but it is not a keyboard you carry around.

Why it is here

A 75% layout keeps the arrows and the function row while leaving more mat for the mouse. The aluminium board connects over 2.4 GHz, Bluetooth or cable, so it can switch to a work laptop during the day.
