About the ASUS ProArt Display PA278CV

The ProArt PA278CV is the creator monitor we suggest for a laptop-based desk. One USB-C cable carries video and up to 65 W of power to the laptop, and a four-port USB-A hub keeps the mouse, keyboard and card reader on the monitor side.

ASUS calibrates each unit at the factory (Calman Verified, with a report in the box) and covers 100% sRGB, which suits web, photo and YouTube work. The stand adjusts in height (150 mm), tilt, swivel and pivot. The trade-offs: a 75 Hz refresh rate and no wide-gamut coverage for print or HDR grading.

Black streaming desk in front of acoustic foam panels, with two ASUS ProArt monitors, a Shure SM7B on a low-profile arm, an Elgato webcam on the right screen, a key light on a pole, a Stream Deck and an audio interface on the desk, studio headphones on a stand and an HP OMEN tower under the desk, lit cyan on the left and green on the right

Broadcast Booth

Why it is here

Two of them side by side: the game or the edit on one, OBS and chat on the other. They are factory calibrated with 100% sRGB, so overlays and thumbnails come out with accurate colour, but they stop at 75 Hz, which is fine for streaming and slow for competitive shooters.

Video editing desk in a dark gray room: a light bamboo standing desk with an ASUS ProArt monitor showing a DaVinci Resolve timeline, a Dell monitor angled on the left, two Yamaha studio monitors, a DaVinci Resolve Speed Editor, a colorimeter, a silver Mac mini, a Fujifilm camera, a keyboard and mouse on a black leather mat, a black desk lamp and a Herman Miller Aeron chair

Cutting Room

Why it is here

Factory calibrated and Calman Verified with 100% sRGB, the right target for video delivered to the web, and its USB-C input keeps the cabling to the Mac mini simple. It does not cover DCI-P3 or HDR, so it is a web delivery screen, not a cinema grading one.
