About the Razer Basilisk V3

The Basilisk V3 is a right-handed ergonomic mouse with a thumb rest and more buttons than most gaming mice: 10 plus 1 programmable controls, including a multi-function trigger under your thumb for push-to-talk or a sniper DPI. The HyperScroll wheel tilts left and right, clicks in notched mode for weapon switching and spins freely for long documents, and Razer Synapse can switch between the two modes on its own when you scroll fast.

The Focus+ optical sensor goes up to 26,000 DPI, the second-generation optical switches are rated for 70 million clicks, five profiles are stored on the mouse and the feet are 100% PTFE. At 101 g without its cable, it is heavy next to esports mice, so it suits palm grip and mixed use more than fast flicks. It is wired only, with a flexible Speedflex cable.

Where it sits in real desks, and why it earned its place there.

Dark bedroom gaming desk lit in blue and purple: an MSI 27-inch monitor showing a sci-fi landscape, a black ZOTAC tower with three RGB fans on the right, a SteelSeries headset lying on the left, a Razer keyboard and mouse with RGB on a long Corsair mat with a glowing edge, a black FlexiSpot standing desk, a gray fabric Corsair gaming chair in front and a bed on the right

Why it is here

An ergonomic shape with a thumb rest, 11 programmable buttons and a tilting HyperScroll wheel, which suits MMOs and MOBAs as well as shooters. At 101 g it is not a featherweight.
