About the Nanoleaf Shapes Ultra Black Hexagons Starter Kit (9 panels)

Shapes Hexagons are 23 x 20 cm panels that clip together with linkers and mount with the included plates and adhesive tape, so you can build your own layout and rearrange it later. The Ultra Black version has a black face that only shows color when lit, which looks cleaner on a dark wall than the white panels. Colors cover the full RGB range plus whites from 1200 K to 6500 K, and tapping a panel changes the scene or brightness.

The kit includes the controller and a 42 W power supply that can run up to 21 hexagons, so you can add expansion packs later. The built-in mic drives the music visualizer, Screen Mirror copies your display colors, and Razer Chroma and Overwolf react to games. The panels also act as a Thread border router and work with Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa and SmartThings. Each black hexagon gives only 10 lumens (100 for a white one), so this is decoration, not room lighting.

Why it is here
