Steelcase Leap (Era Onyx, without Headrest)

Leap is one of the reference ergonomic chairs, with an upholstered back instead of mesh. Its LiveBack backrest is split into an upper and a lower part that move independently and change shape with your spine, and two dials set the lower back firmness and the upper back resistance. When you lean back, the seat glides forward so your eyes stay on the screen, and the flexible front edge eases pressure on your thighs. The 4D armrests move up, down, forward, back, in and pivot.

This version comes in black Era Onyx fabric without the optional headrest. Steelcase builds it to order in Sarrebourg, France, ships it fully assembled for free, and rates it for users up to 150 kg. Seat height runs from 41 to 54 cm and the usable seat depth from 41.5 to 49 cm. The French store currently quotes about three weeks before shipping, and Steelcase's US store only sells Leap through a configurator, so this listing is for France.
