Worth it for gesture-heavy Mac use and a matching white desk, less so if comfort over a full workday comes first.

About the Apple Magic Mouse (USB-C, white)

The Magic Mouse replaces the scroll wheel and side buttons with a Multi-Touch surface: you scroll in any direction and swipe between pages or apps with one or two fingers, which is very natural in macOS. It weighs 99 g, is only 2.16 cm tall and glides on a pair of long feet. It connects over Bluetooth and pairs automatically with a Mac through the included woven USB-C cable.

The battery lasts about a month or more per charge, and it needs macOS 15.1 or iPadOS 18.1 or later. The low, flat shape is the weak point for long days: your hand rests on its fingertips rather than on the mouse, so people with wrist strain usually prefer an ergonomic mouse. The charging port is on the underside, so you cannot use it while it charges.

Bright all-white home office by a window: a white Dell 4K monitor on a white arm, a silver Mac mini, a white Sonos speaker and white headphones on a stand on a white IKEA standing desk, a white Apple keyboard and mouse on a grey mat, a white desk lamp, and a white Sihoo mesh chair

Why it is here

Its Multi-Touch top handles scrolling and swipes between macOS spaces, and it matches the keyboard. The flat shape tires the hand over long days, and it charges from underneath, so plug it in at night; the Logitech MX Master 3S is the comfort upgrade.
